Having spent three days and nights at Niagara Falls recently I was reminded of something which I think is important we all remember when designing, and that is that sometimes less is more.
Seeing the falls lit up at night, whilst still beautiful, wasn't even comparable, in my opinion, to experiencing the amazing natural power of them in the day. The falls are one of the wonders of the world for a reason and they just didn't benefit having coloured lights shone on them at night!!
